🧬 DNA Test Appointment Instructions

Test Type: Buccal Swab (Cheek Swab) DNA Collection

✅ What to Bring- A valid photo ID (driver’s license, passport, or state-issued ID). Legal guardian’s ID (if testing a minor). Any court orders or paperwork (if the test is legally requested). Children’s birth certificate (if applicable).

🚫 Before Your Appointment- Do not eat, drink, smoke, chew gum, or brush your teeth at least 30 minutes before your test. Avoid using mouthwash or mints the morning of your appointment. Make sure your mouth is free from food particles.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Who Must Be Present- All individuals being tested (child, alleged father, mother, etc.) must be present at the same time unless otherwise arranged.

🧪 What to Expect- The test is quick and painless (just a soft swab inside the cheek). It takes about 15 minutes. You'll complete a short consent form and ID verification. Your samples will be sealed and sent to an accredited DNA lab for processing.

📬 Results- Results are typically available in 2–5 business days depending on test type. You will receive your results via secure email, mail, or in-person pick-up.

Am I required to fast?

Yes, no food or drinks except for water at least 2 hours prior to appointment for all members participating in test is recommended for best results.

What kind of sample is required?

A buccal swab is required for the test.

How long will it take to get my results?

Results are typically available within 24-72 business hours after the lab receives your sample.

Is a doctor’s order required?

Either we provide the doctor’s order for the lab test at no additional cost, or we accept your physician’s order.

Do I need to make an appointment?

No, you are welcome to walk in for same-day testing. We make it easy for you by offering work-friendly hours. Appointments will be taken as priority.
